Merle Faye Carruth, 83, of Andrews passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews, Texas.

Mrs. Carruth was born December 15, 1928 in Hamilton, Texas. She lived in Andrews most of her life.

She married William Jackson Carruth October 26, 1946 in Seminole, Texas.

She was a foreman at Kirby West in Andrews for many years. She loved to fish and sew. She loved spending time with her family and she loved her grandchildren. She also loved her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ether Cay and Mary Margaret Coomer and ten brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her son, Billy Carruth and his wife, Sally of Andrews; daughters Sue Carruth of Midland, Vickie Tompkins and her husband, Delbert of Andrews; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
