Eunice "Sis" Davis
Graveside services for Eunice "Sis" Davis, 88, of Matador were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2006, at the East Mound Cemetery in Matador. Mrs. Davis passed away at her residence in Matador Thursday, August 3, 2006.
Sis married C. R. Davis on September 21, 1940, in Paris, Texas. He preceded her in death on March 6, 1985. Mrs. Davis was a resident of Matador for 62 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church of Matador.
She was preceded in death by her husband, four sisters, one brother and one great-grandson.
She is survived by three sons, Buddy Davis of Carrollton, Pete Davis of Brownfield, and Charles Davis of Idalou; one daughter; Ray Baxter of Roaring Springs; one brother; Leo Nolen of Casper, WY; two sisters, Jo Ellen Uptergrove of Fritch and Lucille Bekley of Bogota, Texas; nine grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
