Bobby Dewayne Martin, 78, of Petersburg died on February 26, 2013 in Petersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, March 1, 2013 at First Baptist Church in Petersburg with Rev. Don Raney officiating and Mr. Earl McDonough assisting. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in East Mound Cemetery in Matador, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the funeral home in Plainview.

Dewayne was born December 1, 1934 to Bob and Allie Martin in Matador, TX. He grew up and attended schools in Matador while working on his families ranch. He worked for the Liquor Control Board for three years. He married Delores Price on May 24, 1975 in Provo, UT. He made his living raising cattle and sold insurance for several different companies. He retired about 15 years ago. Dewayne was a member of First Baptist Church and Senior Citizens.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Martin of Petersburg; four children, Barry Martin of Terrell, TX, Stephanie McCartney & husband Billy of Kempner, TX, Robbie Leffel & wife Darenda of Katy, TX, and Lorrie Van Keuren & husband Michael of Rio Rancho, NM, ten grandchildren, Augustus Martin, Allie Diane Martin, Ashley Kimbley, Carolyn Kimbley, Brandon Kimbley, Danielle Goates & husband Rob, Danay Leffel, Michael Marsh, Nathaniel Marsh, and Joshua Marsh; and one great grandson, Alex; and numerous cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Elwanda McCaghren.
