Graveside Services for James Abner (Jim) Roberts, 74 of Matador will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday May 14, 2014 at East Mound Cemetery with Bro. Bill Manney officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday May 13, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Zapata Funeral Home of Matador. Jim passed from this life May 10, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Jim was born in Lubbock to Dr. Abner and Louise Jarrott Roberts on December 16, 1939. He was the great grandson of the F.E. Wheelocks and Monroe and Molly D. Abernathy. Jim is survived by his wife Betty, his twin brother John Roberts and wife Carolyn, two children Sheryn Cannon and husband Bill, his son James Roberts and wife Dee, three step children Kelly McCall and wife Sherri, Tanya Griswold, Kip McCall and wife Jill, four grandchildren, eight step grandchildren ,seven great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
