Vera Jackson, 90, of Andrews passed away Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday, December 5, 2011 at Andrews Church of Christ. John Snider will officiate. Burial will be in Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jackson was born March 10, 1921 in Forrestburg, Texas. She married Carl Foster Jackson November 10, 1938 in Forrestburg. They moved to Andrews in 1957 from Levelland, Texas.

She was an active member of Andrews Church of Christ for many years. She liked to sew and loved to cook, and she made the best deserts in the world. She also really enjoyed working in her yard and garden. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Elbert and Sarah Nethery and a sister Exa Veal.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Eppler of Granbury, Texas; sons, Donald Ray Jackson of Grandprairie, Texas and Larry Jackson of Andrews; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
