Albert M. Fishbacher Jr 80 of Amarillo died Wednesday September 19, 2012.
Services will be at 10 AM Friday September 21. 2012 in Holley Funeral Home Chapel with Bryan Tackett officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Umbarger for the family. Arrangements are by Holley Funeral Home Inc. of Canyon.
Albert was born October 07, 1931 in Umbarger to Albert and Gertrude Fishbacher Sr. He attended school in Umbarger and Amarillo graduating from Price College. He served in the Air Force from November 27, 1951 to October 06, 1955 in England where he earned the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He married Avis Erlene Markham in Canyon in 1962. He settled back in Umbarger where he farmed and did custom harvesting.
Survivors include a daughter Lesa Roberts and friend Rickey Hill; three grandchildren: Dylon Roberts and wife Debra, Erica Roberts and Rickey Hill Jr; a great-grandchild, Tyler Evans; three sisters: Tillie Klein of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Mary Brorman of Vega and Anita Wilhelm of Hereford; three brothers: Pete of Canyon, Mercel of Golden City, Missouri and Joe of Canyon; and a special niece and nephew Raymond and Betty Ray.
