Obituary
A. B. Dalton Allen, age 82, of Simms, Texas passed away, Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in a New Boston Nursing Facility. Mr. Allen was born September 4, 1925 in Red River County, Texas He was a self employed Carpenter, an United States Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, and St. Mary's Catholic Church. He is preceded in death by his Father and mother, Ollie Leon and Ludie Kennedy Allen, two sisters, Iva Foster and Irene Drake, and two sons, James Dalton Allen and Charles David Allen Sr..

Survivors include his wife, Alice Allen of Simms, Texas, one daughter, Mary Moody of Oak Grove, Texas, one son, Travis Allen of Wake Village, Texas, one sister, Ruth Mosley of Temple, Texas, Seven grandchildren, Shelia Walker, Sherry Byram, Mary Catherine Allen, Charles David Allen, Jr., Kari Allen, Chrystal Allen Taylor, Karly Allen, eight great grandchildren, Jessica Walker, Allison Williams, Kendall Byram, Katelyn Allen, Shelby Walker, Sheridan Byram, Skylar Taylor, Clay Allen, and a number of other relatives.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, May 30, 2008 in the Bates-Rolf Funeral Home Chapel, New Boston with Father Ron Demski officiating. Mass of Christian Burial will be held May 31, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Umbarger, Texas with Father Moses Kallarackal� CMI officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Umbarger.
