Clarence T. Lester, 78, of Andrews died Friday, March 27, 1998, at Lubbock's Methodist Hospital.
He was born May 10, 1919, in Joplin, Mo., and was a U.S. Marine in World War II.
He married Mildred Bumpers on March 16, 1963, in Joplin. They moved to Andrews in 1977. His wife died Aug. 6, 1995.
He was a truck driver for Bastine Wholesale Grocery in Joplin for 16 years. He was a member of Andrews Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Don and Ron of Joplin; and a stepson, Don Short of Middletown, Md.
