REECE, CONNIE LAVON, “Conlavon”, beloved daughter, sister, cousin, and friend, died December 29, 2020, at the age of 70.
Connie was born on January 5, 1950, the first-born child of Wendell O. “Von” Reece, the World’s Greatest One-Eyed Auctioneer, and Connie Reece, Sr., the most humorous of the four Morgan sisters.
Connie grew up in Austin where she graduated with honors from McCallum High School in 1968.
She attended Baylor University and the University of Texas at Austin where she graduated with highest honors with a B.A. in French in 1972.
After receiving her undergraduate degree, Connie attended Law School at the University of Texas.
Connie had a diverse professional career working in the family auction business, managing the parts department of the Von Reece Chevrolet dealership in Coldspring, Texas and directing the family classic car auction business.
Connie was a gifted pianist, classically trained but proficient in all musical genres.
Connie’s professional accomplishments included “ghostwriting” and copy editing for which she was highly sought after by major publishers.
Her greatest accomplishment was her lifelong faith in God and the love for her family.
Connie is preceded in death by her father, Von, her mother, Connie, Sr., and her sweet darlin’ angel sister, Laurie.
She is survived by numerous cousins from the Morgan Family, and a multitude of lifelong friends.
