Funeral services for Howard D. Miller, 84, of Andrews will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2005 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews with Dr. Jeff Donnell, Pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Masonic graveside services will follow in the Andrews West Cemetery with Andrews Masonic Lodge #1042 presiding.
Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Amoco Ex's Annuitant Club.
Howard passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2005 at his residence in Andrews.
He was born May 23, 1921 in Pine Rippley County, Missouri to William David Miller and Nora Mae Campbell Miller. He graduated from White Oak High School in Gregg County, Texas and attended the University of Texas. He served in the US Air Force during WWII and moved to Andrews in 1948. He worked for Amoco for 35 years and retired as a field foreman. He was a member of the Andrews Gun Club, Amoco Ex's Annuitant Club, lifetime member of the Andrews Volunteer Fire Department and American Quarter Horse Association, and a member and instructor for the National Rifleman's Association. He was a 33rd Degree Mason, Shriner, and member of Scottish and York Rite. He was an avid hunter, fisher, and sportsman. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Andrews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother: Melvin Miller; and 3 sisters: Glea Miller, Hazel Bell, and Maggie Miller.
He is survived by his 1 brother: Harry Miller of Visalia, California; 3 sisters: Wilma Jean Anderson of Gardendale, Marie Cook of New Braunfels, and Donna Walker of Doniphan, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews.
