Jim C. J.C. Mills, 94, of Andrews passed away January 7, 2013 at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews.

Graveside Services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 10, 2013 at Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home. Rev. Ted Short of Andrews will officiate.

J.C. was born November 16, 1918 in Glenn, Oklahoma to George Washington and Veola Jones Mills.

He served in the US Army during World War II. After the war he moved to Andrews to work in the oil field. He married Lois Thompson August 4, 1944 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

He worked as a lease operator with Gulf Oil for over 34 years and retired in 1982. He was an avid bowler in years past. He loved to play Bingo as well.

J.C. was a sports fan and loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys and baseball games.
After he retired, he and Lois spent summers in Ruidoso, NM and the winters in Andrews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lois in 2002; and sisters Elsie Flowers and Pauline Lucas.

He is survived by his son, Steve Mills, of Andrews; brothers, Charles and Pat Mills, both of Ardmore, OK; one grandson and three great-grandchildren.
