Floradene "Deannie" (Hutcheson) Morris, 77, of Umbarger, Texas, left this world to be with her Jesus on August 12, 2013.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for 10:00 am, Thursday, August 15, 2013, at Dawn Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Lacy, Pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in Rest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hereford Heritage Funeral Home, 411 E 6th.
Deannie was born on October 15, 1935 in Spring Lake, Texas, to Jessie and Mary Ann Martha (Hays) Hutcheson. She fell in love and married her best friend and the love of her life, Fred Morris, on July 20, 1956 in Clovis, New Mexico. She was a longtime Deaf Smith County resident and moved to Umbarger in 2000 from her home in northwest Deaf Smith County. Deannie was a Baptist by faith. She loved to go bowling, do crafts, art painting, reading, sewing and she loved spending time with her family, especially during the holidays. Deannie loved her Lord.
Deannie was preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Mary Ann Martha Hutcheson and 1 grand daughter, Emily Garrison.
She is survived by her loving husband and best friend of a blessed 57 year marriage, Fred Morris, 4 children, Leonard Morris and wife Omega of Amarillo, Kathy Middaugh and husband Gary of Fritch, TX, Charles Morris of Angelton, TX, Teresa Garrison of Angelton, TX, 3 sisters, Lorene Hix of Dawn, TX, Birdie Sharpe of Amarillo, Rosalee Parvin and husband Noel of Amarillo, 1 brother, Cecil Hutcheson and wife Beverly of Amarillo, out of a family of 12 siblings. Deannie and Fred were also blessed with 10 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
