Alfred "Pete" Niemann, 84, of Andrews passed away early Thursday, November 8, 2012 at his home in Andrews.

Pete was born September 22, 1928 in Priddy, Texas. He was a very gifted baseball, football and tennis player. He even won State in Tennis. He proudly served in the US Army.

In 1952 he moved to Andrews and June 10 1954 he married Juanita Barns in Odessa. She preceded him in death in 2010.

He was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in Andrews and his church was a big part of his life. He was an avid golfer and he loved to watch golf, baseball and football on TV. Pete worked for Mobil for 39 years.

He is survived by his son, Scott Niemann of Midland; daughters Anita Hix of Andrews; Rebecca Niemann and Ramona Niemann both of midland and Barbara Yocom of Andrews; one brother George Niemann of Dallas; seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.

Juanita Niemann, 82, of Andrews passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at her home in Andrews.

Funeral services were at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 27, 2010 at McNett Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews. Pastor Jerry Bagwell of Odessa officiated. Burial was be in Andrews West Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.

Juanita was born December 30, 1927 in Okemah, Oklahoma. She grew up in Boswell, Oklahoma. She moved to Andrews, December 22, 1952 from Boswell. She worked at Art's Café in Andrews, where she later met her husband, Alfred (Pete) Niemann. They married June 10, 1954 in Odessa, Texas. She worked for Kirby West in Andrews for many years and retired in 1987. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church and served on the Alter Guild at the Church. She was a great cook and loved to work with flowers and plants. She also loved to crochet but most of all, she really loved to talk. She never met a stranger. She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred (Pete) Niemann of Andrews; one son, Scott Niemann of Midland, Texas; five daughters, Jacqueline Spikes of Midland, Texas; Anita Hix of Andrews; Rebecca Niemann, Ramona Niemann and Barbara Yocum all of Midland, Texas; three sisters, Alta Selby of Boswell, Oklahoma; Imogene Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona and Myrtle Davenport of Odessa, Texas; 17 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
