April 6. 1837 - July 19, 1931
Captain Board fought for the state of Texas during the war of Southern Independence. He was wounded during the battle of Shiloh Tenn.
Capt. Board came to McKinney, Texas, from Virginia in 1856. When Capt. Dixon was killed in battle at Shiloh, Lt. Board was made Capt. of that company, one of the youngest in the war. He became the partner of I.D. Newsome.
