Ted W. Page, 93, of Andrews passed away Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews.

Ted was born November 22, 1918 in Paul's Valley, Oklahoma to Roy and Minnie Page. He joined the US Army. Ted earned a Purple Heart while serving in the Philippine Islands. He and his unit were cleaning enemy soldiers out of a cave. Ted and three or four others from his unit were all that survived that assignment. He also served in New Guinea.

He married Viola Harris December 12, 1945 in Lovington, NM. They have lived in Andrews ever since.

He worked for Amoco for over 35 years and remained active with the group of Amoco Retirees.
He was an active member of the Andrews Church of Christ.

Ted loved to fish and bird hunt. He was a good man and loved to help people. He was the kind of man that "Practiced what he preached".

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Minnie Page; sisters Opal Pierce; Joyce Cain; Pat Stephens and a bother Lee Page.

He is survived by his wife, Viola Page of Andrews; son, Roger Page of Art, Texas; daughter Barbara Morgan of Truth or Consequences, NM; Granddaughter Monica Houston of Huachuca, Arizona and one Great Granddaughter Gracie Paige Houston; one brother, Jack Page; sisters Lahoma Nixon of Andrews and Lola McKibben of Odessa.
