Augustus Wade "Gus" McCarty
October 10, 2001 - May 15, 2023

Augustus Wade McCarty, 21, of Redwater, TX, passed away on May 15, 2023, from injuries sustained in an accident. Gus was born on October 10, 2001, in Texarkana, TX, to Gerald (Jerry) McCarty and Joey Worrell. Gus was a Baptist and had a strong love for God, his family, and his friends. He was preceded in death by his Grandfather Gerald Davis McCarty and Grandmother Christine Worrell.

Gus is survived by Jerry and Terri McCarty of Redwater, TX, and Joey Worrell of Texarkana, AR. He is also survived by his siblings Preston McCarty of Nash, TX, Marshall McCarty of Redwater, TX, and Felix Ellis of Jonesboro, AR, Dawson Bolls of Dallas, TX, Lainen Bolls of Texarkana, AR, and McKinley Boyd of Redwater, TX, his Grandfather Dan Worrell of Fouke, AR, and Grandmother Mary McCarty of Redwater, TX. He is also leaving behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and many close friends.

Gus is an organ donor and will give the gift of life to those who will receive his organs. He will live on through those lives he will save. Everyone who knows Gus loved him and considered him the life of the party. He will live in our hearts forever. He had many friends
and family who loved him and will miss him dearly.

Cremation will be under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.

There will be a visitation Saturday, May 20th at Chapelwood Funeral Home in Nash, TX, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM.
