Graveside services for Ronald Paul Ealy, age 57 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Gaines County Memorial Cemetery, with Dean Boyer officiating and Pastor Randy Daniel assisting. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Ron was born in San Jose, California on July 16, 1965 to Florence Griswold Furey and James Ealy. He married the love of his life and best friend, Tammie Hardesty, on January 18, 2003 in Reno, Nevada, and had been a Seminole resident for 16 years, moving from Lubbock, Texas. He worked in maintenance and construction his entire life and could build or fix just about anything.
To know Ron was to love Ron. He was ornery but one of the sweetest people inside; he had a heart of gold. With a mischievous gleam in his eye, he was always the life of the party and full of jokes. Ron could make anybody laugh. Everywhere he went he made a friend, and would go to any length to help his family or anyone around him. He valued hard work, honesty, and commitment. If there was a problem, Ron could fix it. He wasn't always easy to get along with or may not have been everyone's cup of tea, but he was his family's cup of tea all the same. Ron was a firm believer in tough love but also in second chances. He was his kids' biggest supporter and was a dedicated father. To his grandkids, Ron was larger than life, always ready to play Barbies or take them fishing. The Lord called Ron home and we know He has embraced him wholly and made him well. We hope he has found a fishing pole and is fishing to his heart's content.
Ron Ealy went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 12, 2022 at Midland Memorial Hospital. He is preceded in death by his mother in 2010, and his mother-in-law, Wanda Hardesty in 2019. He is survived by his wife, Tammie of Seminole; two sons, Travis Ealy and wife Alexandra of Seminole, and Cody Ealy and wife Kayla of Levelland; three daughters, Candice Rowe and husband Jon of Schenectady, New York, Kayla Harris and husband Jonathan of Seminole, and Catherine McKee and husband Coty of Austin, Texas; his father, James of Copperopolis, California; four brothers, Larry Ealy and wife Joy of Adamsville, Pennsylvania, Mark Ealy and wife Jackie of Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania, Rick Ealy and wife Maureen of Modesto, California, and Randy Ealy and wife Bea of Stockton, California; two sisters, Brenda Ealy of Copperopolis, and Barbara Vega and husband David of Stockton; his father-in-law, Ron Hardesty of Lubbock; 11 grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
