Chapel funeral services for Frank P. Gonzalez age 94 of Lamesa will be held at at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2018 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with officiant Deacon Saul Hernandez offering a service blessing. Interment will follow to Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing will be held on Sunday November 24, 2018 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m.
Frank passed away on Thursday November 22, 2018 in Lamesa. He was born on June 4, 1924 in Monclova Coahuila, Mexico to Ignacio and Josefa Gonzales.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mage; his parents; Ignacio and Josefa Gonzales; sons, David Gonzalez, Mario Gonzalez, Frank Placencio; his brother Fidencio Gonzales; sisters, Esperanza Hernandez, Consuelo Rodriguez, Sophie Galindo, Gloria Barron, and Cleofas Bailon.
Frank was a farmer until his retirement. In his younger years, he loved motorcycles, horses, and fast cars.
Frank is survived by his family, his sons, Manuel Gonzalez and Jerry Gonzalez, both of Bakersfield, CA.; his daughters, Esperanza Page and Betty Castaneda, both of Bakersfield, CA.; his sister, Mary Menjarez of Lamesa, TX.; his brother, Ignacio Gonzales of Lamesa, TX.; numerous grandchidren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren.
