Carroll Hardison, 76, of Big Spring, passed away Thursday, December 01, 2016 at his residence. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday, December 4, 2016 at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Trinity Memorial Park Peace Chapel with Craig Wallace presiding.

Carroll was born July 10, 1940 in Aquilla, Texas to Iona Martin Hardison and Glen Hardison.

He was a veteran of the United States Marines and was with the 1st Marine Battalion to land in Vietnam.

As a young man, Carroll attended many schools as his family moved around the country but was a graduate of Midland High School, Class of 1958. He also attended SMU and Texas Tech University where he majored in Electrical Engineering. He later moved to Big Spring and married Pat Hughes on July 20, 1967 in Coahoma, Texas. Carroll was a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather. He was a calming influence and voice of reason in every situation and a blessing to all of his family and friends.

He operated Hardison Appliance with his father and later his brother-in-law for almost 50 years. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.

Carroll is survived by his wife Pat Hardison of Big Spring; two daughters: Lois Wallace and husband Craig of Wolfforth and Nancy Teague and husband Randy of Oklahoma City; two sisters: Suzanne Montague and husband Jim of Guffey, CO and Debbie Burrow and husband Guy of Big Spring; his brother-in-law Chalmer Wren and wife Norma of Stanton; five grandchildren: Dalton Wallace and wife Stormy, Taylor Wallace, Hayden Wallace, and Adam Wallace, all of Wolfforth and Morgan McDonald of Norman, OK.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Kathy Wren.
Pallbearers will be Dalton Wallace, Taylor Wallace, Hayden Wallace, Adam Wallace, Morgan McDonald, and Grant Burrow. Honorary pallbearers will be Pat Grigg, Ronnie Walker and Morris Fraley.

The family suggests memorials to Relay For Life, c/o Vicky Stewart, 6 Coachman Circle, Big Spring, TX 79720.
