Funeral services for Johan Ketler, age 73 of Oklahoma, will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023 at Sommerfeld Mennonite Church at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Isaak Fehr officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole, Texas.
Mr. Ketler was born March 22, 1950 in Mexico to Helena (Harms) and Heinrich Ketler. He married Nancy Unger in Seminole, Texas on November 5, 2016. Johan enjoyed yard work, tending to his animals, traveling, and telling stories about his life.
Johan Ketler passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Anna in 2012; one son, and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Ketler of Oklahoma; one daughter, Helena Fehr and husband Neil of Seminole; two stepsons, Jacob Wiebe and wife Ana of Mexico, and Peter Wiebe and wife Heather of Iowa; one stepdaughter, Sara Dueck and husband Jaime of Seminole; three sisters, Helen Froese and husband John of Seminole, Anna Friesen and husband Peter of Canada, and Mary Ketler of Seminole; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
