Kathleen "Kaki" Morton, 72, formerly of Big Spring, passed quietly into the Father's presence on Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2017, with family members at her side, following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, June 22, 2017, 10:00 am, at Hillcrest Baptist Church, Big Spring. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Kaki was a physical therapist at Dora Roberts Rehabilitation Center (DRRC) from 1972 to 2012. DRRC paid her way through PT school in exchange for a two-year work commitment. She stayed forty years, touching countless lives.

She was active in the Emmaus Community.

She was a member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church and played guitar with the Praise Band and taught a ladies Sunday School Class.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two brothers, Jeff and wife, Mavis of Big Spring, and David and wife, Lee of Pilot Point, Texas, along with nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews and a whole host of brothers and sisters in Christ.

Kaki was preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Ella Ruth Morton.

Today she is playing her guitar and singing in Thee Praise Band… Hallelujah!!
