Mr. Huggins was born in Three Rivers, Texas on March 14, 1941, the son of Emma Jane and Claude Huggins. He graduated from Seminole High School in 1959 after his family moved from Karnes City, Texas. Earl married Jammey Phillips on August 3, 1962 in Seminole and worked for many years as a field operator for Phillips Petroleum. He was a big supporter of his wife Jammey's art career. Earl liked to build and fly model airplanes and enjoyed riding motorcycles in Cloudcroft. He was also very proud of his two sons and especially of his grandchildren. He was always supportive of any projects or hobbies his sons attempted, jumping right in to help.

Earl took his work very seriously and enjoyed the people he worked with. He loved working on his cars and motorcycles and was proud to always keep a clean truck! He lived a full life, traveling, water skiing, and quail hunting. Before he became ill, he loved to take his grandchildren along with him on any travel adventures.

Earl Huggins passed away at Seminole Memorial Hospital on December 30, 2023. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Wright, in 2015. He is survived by his wife, Jammey Huggins of Seminole; two sons, Lynn Huggins of Matagorda, Texas, and Jody Huggins and wife Suzanne of Hobbs, New Mexico; one brother, Lloyd Huggins and wife Sharon of Santa Fe, Texas; three grandchildren, Alex and wife Meredith, Amber, and Ryan; and two great-grandchildren, Austin and Tommy.
