Junior Ringener, 86, of Big Spring, died Wednesday, February 12, 2014 in a Lubbock hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel, Big Spring with Rev. Elwin Collom, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, February 14, 2014 at the funeral home.
He was born July 12, 1927 in Lindale, TX and married Virginia Glaspie January 24, 1948 in Courtney, Martin County, Texas.
Junior owned and operated Jiffy Car Wash for 33 years. After retiring he enjoyed working in his shop and for the last 5 years had worked as a greeter at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Junior was a member of College Baptist Church and a former member of Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ringener of Big Spring; one daughter, Judy Lanell Walker and husband, Dale of Big Spring; one granddaughter, Shelly Garrett and husband, Kelly of Big Spring; two brothers, Merle Ringener of Big Spring and Dairell Ringener of Ft. Worth and three sisters, Jerry Bedell of Big Spring, Lilian Collum of Odessa and Carolyn Williamson pf Jerell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, W.J., Sr. and Lela Mae Smith Ringener; one son, John Lawrence Ringener; two brothers, W.A. Ringener and J.M. Ringener and two sisters, Pauline Martin and Anita Johnson.
