*Obituary
Todd Schafer, 50, of Forsan, formerly of San Angelo, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2016 at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at First Baptist Church with Ron Patterson, pastor of Harvest Baptist Church of San Angelo, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
Todd was born May 29, 1966 in Big Spring, Texas to Dana Ruth Horton Schafer and Marck Schafer.
He grew up in Garden City.
He attended Howard College and then San Angelo State University where he obtained his Master's.
He worked at San Angelo State University in the Management Instruction and Research Center for 14 years.
He married Heather Schuelke on December 18, 1993. They moved to Forsan 7 years ago.
He was currently the Director of Maintenance at Forsan ISD.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was a loving husband, father and uncle.
He was also a Baptist.
Todd is survived by his wife Heather Schafer of the home; daughter: Amanda Schafer of San Angelo; son Lane Schafer and daughter Kristen Schafer, both of Forsan; his parents: Dana and Marck Schafer of Garden City; mother-in-law: Mary Schuelke of Ackerly; his sister: Danetta Ferguson and husband Don of Sterling City and her children: Dusty Gressett and wife Lacy of Bronte and Caleb Gressett and wife Whitney of Big Spring; two great nieces:Jaycee and Atley Gresett and one great nephew: Jacody Gressett; sister-in-law: Luci Gabehart and husband Greg and her children: Janathon Gabehart, Thomas Gabehart and Mary Kate Gabehart, all of Big Spring.
Todd was preceded in death by his father-in-law Jimmy Schuelke.
