Patsy Ann McDonald, age 64, born August 4, 1948, passed away Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, after a battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John and Era Cleota McDonald.
She will be greatly missed by her many friends and her "adopted" Feuge family.
Patsy earned both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics with a minor in Physics at Southwest Texas State University. She taught at Southwest Texas State University and the University of Texas at Austin during her college years. She taught mathematics and physics at Marble Falls High School for 28 years.
She then went to work at the University of Texas in the Instructional Technology department with QUEST. She was instrumental in the development and implementation of the QUEST program where she worked until her death with over 20,000 educators.
Patsy was always helping people, family, and friends. She loved photography, tennis, gardening, and computers. She worked at all of these, up until her death, with a loyalty and passion that was inspiring.
She was an active member and supporter of Delta Kappa Gamma, active member and supporter of Delta Kappa Gamma, ALPHA CHI chapter.
Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 6, from 6 - 8 p.m. at Harrell's Funeral Home on Frontier Trail in Austin. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, September 7, in Art, Texas at the Art West Methodist Cemetery on Highway 29.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Patsy's memory may donate to the Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship Fund (1011 Arbor Lane, Marble Falls, TX, 78654) or the Art Methodist West Cemetery Fund.
