William Larry Wilson, 74, was born in Mason County on September 2, 1940. Recently a resident in Harper Texas and a former resident of El Paso, Texas City and Odessa, Texas. A wonderful, devoted father to his family and friends. He was the first college graduate in his family with a Master’s in Business Administration. Affectionately known as the “golden haired boy” in the family and “Larr Bear” to his good friends. A father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to all. He was loved by many and he cherished all.

Survived by his sister Jackie Stephens and husband “Steve”, his son Joshua and wife Denise Wilson and his daughter Lena Leahey. His grandchildren Brenna Bandstra and husband Nick, Elizabeth Leahey, Eric Wilson, William Leahey, William “Kevin” Wilson, Katherine “Kamikazee” Leahey, Amelie Leahey and the mother of his children Nancy Wilson.
He is preceded in death by his parents William Anderson “Dick” Wilson and Ruth Wilson and sister Mary Faye Brooker.

He will always be remembered as a man of strong convictions of doing the right thing no matter the challenge. A loving person to all who knew him always giving comfort to those in need. He was willing to assist others in achieving their life goals and dreams without reservations. He has left a legacy to be proud.

Funeral viewing and services have been made at the Mason Funeral Home in Mason County Texas on Tuesday June 30th from 4-7 pm and Wednesday July 1st at 10:00 am and burial will be at the Grit Cemetery directly after the services.
