*Obituary

Weasie Lange joined her husband in eternity on August 8, 2021. She was born on November 27, 1928 on the Campbell Ranch in Mason County to Charlie Capps and Marie Deans Capps. She was raised in Voca, Texas by her grandparents, Charlie and Lula Deans. Weasie attended Mason High School. She married Harlan Lange on December 23, 1945. They loved to fish and hunt and lived in a room in the Seaquist House where they began their family. Weasie and Harlan had two children, Tessa and Terry.

Weasie was a colorful, active, life-long member of the Mason community. She organized the Vista Green Thumb Senior Citizens Program. She also worked for the Commercial Bank in public relations.

Weasie loved her family. Playing games was a favorite pastime. She was a competitive player of bridge, dominoes and dice games. She entertained her grandkids and great-grandkids by playing “Bones” and other games. They affectionately called her “Grancin”. Weasie loved to cook spicy foods, which reflected her lifestyle.

She was a devout Democrat, no doubt about it. If you asked for her opinion you would get it - like it, or not. We will forever miss her lively spirit and feisty attitude.

She is survived by her daughter Tessa Farmer and husband Squeaky, her son Terry Lange and his wife Elaine, grandchildren Cody Farmer (Chris), Cole Farmer (Dawn), Cade Lange and Cayla Rogers (David) and her great-grandkids Jessie and Zachary Weeks, Brant Farmer, Selah Farmer, Riggin Farmer, Taylor Lange, Bodey Lange, and Joshua, Cohen and Chloe Dye. Weasie was preceded in death her husband Harlan Baze Lange and granddaughter-in-law Samantha Lange.

Visitation with the family will be Tuesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Mason Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Grit Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers are Cody Farmer. Cole Farmer, Cade Lange, Bodey Lange Brant Farmer, Riggin Farmer, Joshua Dye, Cohen Dye and Mark Lange. Honorary pallbearers are Kent Bruce, Willie Carter and Zachary Weeks.

Weasie said “Your not living if you don’t have a laugh every day.”
