Services for Caleb Joshua "Red" Sullivan Sr., 88, of Big Spring will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Jim Wilkerson, pastor of Hillcrest Baptist Church of San Angelo, officiating. The Rev. Don Snipes, pastor of Baptist Temple Church, will assist. Burial will be in Trinity Memorial Park.
Sullivan died Monday, May 4, 1998, in a Big Spring hospital.
He was born Aug. 3, 1909, in Roscoe.
He married Gwendowlyn J. Bayless on June 27, 1942, in Big Spring.
He was a member of Baptist Temple Church.
He owned a service station, retiring in 1974.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, C. Josh Jr. of San Angelo, Robert of Garden City, Tommy and William, both of Big Spring; three daughters, Claudia Turner of Midland, Lou Pardy of Yorktown Heights, N.Y., and Gwen Ray of Big Spring; a sister, Claudia Jones of Midland; 16 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
