Funeral services for Jesus Iglesias, age 84 of Lamesa, TX., will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 11, 2022 at Gonzales Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Liboryo Iglesias officiating. Burial committal will follow to the Dawson County Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Gonzales Funeral Home.
Viewing and visitation will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022 and Sunday, July 10, 2022 at Gonzales Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with Inspirational Services at 7:00 p.m.
Jesus passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2022 in Lubbock, TX. He was born June 10, 1938 in San Antonio, TX. Jesus married Irma Mendiola, November 24, 1962 in Lamesa, TX.
Jesus was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Griselda Iglesias; his parents, Sebastian and Ramona Iglesias; his brothers, Leon, and Benito; his sisters, Josefina, Amelia, Andrea, Maria, and Virginia.
Jesus worked as a farmer until his retirement. His hobbies included watching the Dallas Cowboys and baseball. He enjoyed fishing, and drinking his beer.
Jesus is survived by his loving family, his wife, Irma Iglesias of Lamesa, TX.; his children, daughter, Diana Trevino and son-in-law, Jimmy Trevino of Andrews, TX., son, Rigo Iglesias of Lamesa, TX., daughter, Candi Williams and son-in-law, Nellis Williams, Jr. of Lubbock, TX., son, Sebastian Iglesias of Lamesa, TX., son, Rudy Iglesias and daughter-in-law, Lora Iglesias of Lamesa, TX.; his brothers, Rodolfo Iglesias and sister-in-law, Ofelia Iglesias of Lubbock, TX., and Iboryo Iglesias and sister-in-law, Adelita Iglesias of Lamesa, TX.; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and numerous relatives, and friends.
