*Obituary
Originally from Taylor, Michigan, Diana (Dee) was a high school homecoming queen, Michigan State University graduate, PhD candidate at the University of Texas (Austin), and Director of Nursing at Capitol Home Health in Austin, Texas. Dee was a very caring person with love, passion, and gratitude for life. Beauty, brains and personality, Dee was the proverbial “triple threat", succumbing only to the human frailties that befall us all along life’s journey.
Diana lived her life with enormous faith and spoke beautifully of our Lord, and often quoted scripture to those who would listen. She led a Christian life by example and was amazingly steadfast and unwavering.
In addition to her great passion for our Lord, Diana had many other passions and talents for drawing, painting, sewing, crocheting, and jewelry making. She had a true love for gardening and animals - at one time raising sheep, hens, donkeys, birds, rabbits, puppies, and kittens too. Diana even had a Bunny Blog for fellow bunny enthusiasts.
Diana will be greatly missed and will rest in peace with her daughter Julia Wichert and brother Michael Pierini. She's survived by her son Sean Wichert Sr., her four grandchildren ( Sean Wichert Jr., Dawn Wichert, Dylan McCrory and Fin Ruther) whom she became a beloved mother figure to, and four siblings (Donald Pierini Jr., John Pierini, Sue Pierini and Anne Marie Pierini).
Two sisters (Sue and Anne Marie) will greatly miss Diana Marie Pierini who passed away on Ash Wednesday/Valentine's Day February 14, 2024.
In the tapestry of life, it is often said, “Sisters are different flowers from the same garden – connected by love, shared experiences, and unwavering support.”
