*Obituary
My beloved sister Henrietta Louise Quinn passed away January 25, 2024. She would have been 80 in August. Born in Waycross, Georgia where our parents were stationed in WWII, listening to trains come and go at night was her lullaby. Her younger years were spent in Waco, Texas, then Edcouch-Elsa in the Rio Grand Valley, and finally most of her working years were in the Hill Country of Texas, San Marcos where she attended San Marcos State, San Antonio, and Austin where she spent many years working for Texas Instruments. She always loved being outdoors; loved plants, trees, and all of nature; a dreamer at heart. She loved ancient stories, the lore of Indian legends and their artifact creations. She was a poet and an artist and made many beautiful things. Henrietta Louise wrote a poem once about Sunlight, part of which reads, “You fill me with life that grows and endures forever. Atoms that sing through all times and ages of past, present, and future; all moving as fast as lightening; all in an instant of God-Given Time.” We shared many things through the years and she will be missed. She is survived by her sister, Marie Haeffner-Reeves; her daughter, Lisa Jacquez; her granddaughters, Elizabeth and Sarah Garner; her grandson, Casey Curtis: and many friends and family.
