*Obituary
Our dear son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend, Shalique Martin went to sleep on the evening of December 29th and slipped off to his eternal rest. He had an appreciation for life and enjoyed spending it with family and friends. He loved to laugh and make others laugh. His compassion for others reflected his deep desire to make others happy, even when it caused him pain.
His years were ordered by Jehovah God; his path was one traveled by many but few there be to leave an indelible impact on so many. Shalique was loved and certainly will be greatly missed. We know the impact his life made on his family and his friends. Even though the pain was great at times to bear, he didn’t want anyone feeling sorry for him nor treat him special. He loved life and lived it fiercely. We “miss your face” Lique, but we take comfort in knowing your pain has finally ceased and your spirit has taken flight to the heavens.
We ask that instead of sending flowers and plants to the family, that you consider sending a memorial donation to either the American Heart Foundation or Junior Diabetes Research Foundation as a memorial honor to Shalique R C Martin. We must continue to help further research for cures to help combat juvenile diabetes and heart disease.
