*Obituary
Jessie Edmond Johnson Jr. was born in Big Spring, Tx on August 7, 1954.

Jessie lost his hard fought battle to stomach cancer at the age of 69, passing away the night of
November 22, 2023 at his home he shared with his sister Judy Wagner.

Jessie is survived by his daughters Miranda Wyatt and husband Shawn, Cheyenne Johnson and
long-term boyfriend Austin Pauley, his granddaughters Emily Johnson and Sabrah Rodriguez, sister Judy Wagner, nephew Randy Wagner and wife Miros, great nephew Anthony, numerous nieces and nephews, and his large accumulation of friends/family through Hope Group/Yellow House Foundation.

Unfortunately, he was dealt a harsh hand in life. At seventeen years old he was electrocuted while at work. Doctors did not expect him to live, yet he survived. He spent months in the hospital undergoing numerous surgeries. He struggled with alcoholism his whole life, but once again he defied all odds and started his beautiful sobriety journey on September 22, 2017 with the love and support Hope Group offered him and so many others before him and after him.

He was so proud of the program that had given him his family and his life back. It gave him joy, peace, understanding, and a love for life he had never known.

He was known for his kind and gentle soul, his silence that spoke volumes of wisdom and love. Someone who genuinely wanted the best for everyone and did what he could to lend a helping hand.

He loved to fish, ride his Harley Davidson, mow lawns, go to AA meetings, and most of all spending time with his family. He loved to dress as Santa Claus and the Grinch for Christmas and ride around Austin and Bastrop on his Harley each year to spread joy to everyone, which was one of the highlight of the holidays for him.

He leaves behind a legacy and a lifetime of memories.

In loving memory of a beloved Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle and Friend.

God grant me the serenity,
To accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can,
And the wisdom to know the difference.

Celebration of life will be held at Hope Group on January 13, 2024 from 3:00 - 4:30 PM
Location: 151 S Bell Blvd. Cedar Park, TX 78613
