Bob led a bit of a vagabond life calling Illinois, Indiana, Arizona, Las Vegas and New Mexico home throughout his life but ultimately ended up in Texas. He made a living by working in the audio/visual and distance learning profession, but his passion was sailing. He loved being out on the water. He had a competitive spirit but more than that he wanted to share the sport with others. Anyone could always find a spot on his boat and he was happy to teach anyone who wanted to learn. He sailed on an Americas Cup boat in San Francisco but the highlight for him was being part of the crew on Medusa for a 2nd place finish in the Swiftsure race in Victoria BC 2 years ago.

There will be a celebration of life in Rowlett Texas, Sunday, September 16th at 1:00 PM at the Bayside Sailing Club and in East Peoria, IL on Saturday, September 29th at the East Port Banquet Center at 11:00 AM.
