Charles Richard Brigham Jr. was born February 1, 1934 to Charles Richard Brigham Sr. and Harriet Leona (Frisbie) Brigham in Johnson City, NY, and went peacefully to be with the Lord in Anna, Texas on February 17, 2021. In his younger years, he enjoyed working with his hands with remodeling his home, and working on projects in his yard, including growing vegetables in his garden. His secular work including working in the retail environment, and in the production industry. Grandson Scotty Knapp will be looking out his window for his Papa to mow.
Charles is survived by his wife, Patty Rice, who he was married to for almost 5 years. He was previously married to Phyllis I. Brigham (1940-2020) and father to 4 children, Michele Empet (Duane John) of McKinney, Texas, Michael (Linda) Brigham of Lake Stevens, Washington, Mary Knapp of Anna, Texas, and Cheryl Brigham (Shawn Burns) of McKinney, Texas. He was also married to Sarah Jane Smith (1943-2016) and a father figure to Harvey (Debbie Fleming) of Palmyra, NY, Tammy (Michael) Valleau of McKinney, Texas, Todd Fleming and family, Shannon Fleming of Tyler, Texas). He is also survived by his sister, Barbara (Raymond) Roody of Port Crane, NY. He has 14 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. He also has many friends and family that extend over the United States, including New York, Georgia, and Washington. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Charles and Harriet Frisbie, previous wives, Phyllis Brigham, and Sarah Jane (Sally) Brigham, his sisters, Elizabeth, and Nancy, and 3 great grandchildren.
Arrangements handled by All Texas Cremation. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints of Melissa, 737 East Melissa Road, Melissa, Texas 75454 on Saturday, March 26, 2021 at 1200 pm.
