Faye Martin Bennett Wheeler, 92, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, in Stamford. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 9, 2013, at the First Baptist Church in Anson with Rev. Larry Archer officiating. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home.
Born September 24, 1920 in Anson, Faye was a daughter of the late Headley and Mary (Biggs) Martin. She graduated from Anson High School in 1938 and was a member of the First Baptist Church. Faye was a homemaker and worked for the Spurgin Cleaners as a seamstress.
Faye was preceded in death by her husbands (Onis Bennett and Lindon Wheeler) and one sister (Ethel Fagan).
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Ann McFadden (and husband, Arvil) of Haskell; Don Bennett (and wife, Carolyn) of Eula, Doug Bennett (and wife, Mary) of Hawley and Lynn Bennett (and wife, Jeanene) of Anson; one sister Ruth Hall of Stamford; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Brad Bennett, Joe Kamesh, Clayton Hein, Timothy Nicolais, Caleb Bennett, Cameron Bennett and Trey Morton. Honorary pallbearers will be Chandler Pearson, Rex Wright, Brandon McFadden, Randy Wyatt and Chuck Calbaugh.
