Marquis Ansara Haynes was born on February 10, 1981 to Cathy L. Haynes and Thomas Tennessee in Mount Clemens, Michigan. In 2000, he graduated from Lakeview Centennial High School in Garland, Texas. After graduating high school, he attended Eastfield Community College. With college credits under his belt, he began his security services career first with Allied Security then with Baylor Scott & White Hospital where he worked for over fourteen years. Wanting a change of pace from security, he later went to work for FedEx in Fort Worth, TX as a Material Handler Line Lead. He took great pride in his role of safety lead and truly enjoyed his work. He often spoke kindly of his leadership and team members.
While Marquis was reserved, he was very friendly and cared deeply for others. He had an infectious laugh and a gentle spirit. From boyhood to adult, Marquis always loved video gaming, Japanese animation, sci-fi movies, and cooking shows. Marquis had a love of dogs (especially Brodie) and enjoyed maintaining a fish aquarium. Marquis also loved to travel. The beach was his favorite place to go. He regularly created great memories while sharing good food and drinks with family and friends. As an only child, Marquis shared a special bond with his mother whom he fiercely loved and protected.
Marquis is survived by his Mother: Cathy L. Haynes of Fort Worth, Texas, Father: Thomas Tennessee of Detroit, Michigan; Grandmother: Charlene Haynes of Texarkana, Texas; Aunts: Sherry Roberts and Tracey Haynes of Fort Worth, Texas; Uncle: Michael (Lettie) Haynes of Trophy Club, Texas; Two Great-Aunts: Billie (Eddie) Brock of Pullman, Michigan, and Dianne (Gerald) Glass of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Special cousins: Melissa (Quenton) Williams of El Paso, Texas, James Roberts of Alexandria, Virginia, Sharlena Roberts of Vernonia, Oregon, Nancy Roberts of Fort Worth, Texas, Kalen Haynes of Trophy Club, Texas, and Portland Eltoukhy of Vernonia, Oregon; along with a host of relatives and friends.
On June 17, 2022, Marquis Haynes passed away unexpectedly at Baylor Scott White Hospital in Grapevine, Texas. Marquis was a young man in the prime of his life, gone too soon. He leaves behind family and friends who will forever cherish his memories
