Ronald Juel Harrison, born May 29, 1949 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio to Wilber Juel Harrison and Verne Henrietta Collins passed away December 28, 2022 at Baylor Scott & White Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas at the age of 73. Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honored to be a Disabled American Veteran, “DAV”. There wasn’t a day that went by without him sharing his love of our country with others. He will fondly be remembered as a devoted fan of Ohio sports teams, especially the Cleveland Browns and for always telling jokes (often bad ones) to everyone.
Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Walter Payton and sisters Verda Alvina Payton and Patricia Murphy.
He is survived by his children Michael (Angel) Harrison of Cincinnati, Ohio, Jennifer (Cory) Harrison of Illinois, Stephanie Harrison of Elizabethtown, Kentucky and Anthony (Tamera) Smallwood of Durant, Oklahoma. He had 7 grandchildren (Kayle, Cory Jr, Ashlyn, Robert, Natalie, Brandon and Shea), 9 great-grandchildren, 2 grandpuppies, many nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.
Arrangements are under the direction of All Texas Cremation Service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Donations can be made in honor of Ronald to the DAV (Disabled American Veterans)
