Denise Anne Duncan, age 54, of Richardson, TX passed away on May 22nd 2023.
She was preceded in death by her father Melvin E. Duncan of Dallas, and her grandparents Arnel L. and Nina M. Duncan of Linden, TX. Dewey and Opal M. Schafer of Dallas, TX.
Denise left behind her 2 sons, Brandon D. Huisman and Garrett W. Schmidt, whom she loved very much. Her mother Sue Duncan Bryant, husband Tony. Stepmother Deborah K. Duncan Heugel, husband Rich. Sister Deanna S. Norwood, husband Brig and sister Kelly R. Denton, husband Jason. Brother Matthew L. Duncan. Niece Brittney N. Bennett, husband Matthew and niece Scout L. Pettit. Along with many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Denise was a real estate agent in her earlier years, helping sell homes with Ebby Halliday where she developed outstanding organizing and communication skills. Her last 10 years were spent in the banking industry with BBVA and Bank of America.
Denise loved the hobbies of cross stitching, knitting, and crafting. Most of all, she loved making things for her family and friends. Her baking and cooking skills were out of this world. She could turn a pot of beans into a gourmet meal. The most exciting recipe she perfected was her Granny Duncan’s oatmeal cookies. She would bake several dozen and deliver them to family. Every holiday, she was sure to have everyone’s favorite dish no matter if she spent days preparing. Denise had a gifted talent for decorating and organizing a home.
She was well liked by many and loved by many more. She will be greatly missed, but has been greeted by Jesus and is now in the loving arms of her Daddy once again.
Denise requested to be cremated, so a private ceremony will be held in Linden, TX with immediate family.
A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor on June 23rd at 11:00 am at Christian Center of Mesquite, located at 4401 Cartwright, Mesquite, TX, 75181.
