Harry Richard Dillard, 56, of Austin passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2007. Richard was born on April 28, 1951 in Santa Rosa, Texas. He graduated from San Benito High School and received a Bachelor's Degree from Texas A & I in Kingsville. He lived and worked in Austin for the past 15 years. Best known to most as "Dick" and also known as "Uncle Rich" to his nieces and nephews, we will miss him greatly. Always willing to help anyone, Dick was a friend to all and was loved by so many. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Katherine & Lee Roy Dillard and his two brothers, William and James Dillard. He is survived by an uncle, Tom Dillard; aunt, Wanda Dillard; brothers, Lee Roy Dillard and Ronald Dillard; sisters, Mary Beth Moran, Dorothy Dillard, Patsy Vasquez, Judy Knight, Peggy Crawford, Pam Lovely; eight nieces, seven nephews and many grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home with Services following at 3:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.. http://www.mem.com
