Services for George Newton Richardson, 93, were held at Dunn Methodist Church officiated by Rev. A.N. Moates, the pastor assisted by Rev. R.O. Browder of Big Spring.
Mr. Richardson came west to work on cattle drives when he was 15 years old. He returned to Wood County and the family later started west by wagon train and settled just north of present day Dunn in 1889. The family home is located 10 miles south of Snyder, Texas. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Methodist Church.
