Betty "Therlene" Lawson, age 91, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Born in 1930 to her two loving parents, John and Wanda Mangram. She was an only child raised on a farm in Oklahoma. In 1961, she married the love of her life, Dwyt Lawson who preceded her in death.
Therlene enjoyed crocheting, but her passion was cooking. Dwyt would always say "Mama was the best cook ever", and she took pride in those words. All of her dishes and recipes were enjoyed by many.
She is survived by cousins, friends, and her church family. A memorial service will be at Wheless Lane Church of Christ, Friday, June 17, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate her life.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cookwaldencapitalparks.com for the Lawson family.
