February 25, 1910 - June 24, 2003

Vermont was on the USS Saratoga aircraft carrier when it was hit. He survived the devastating attacks on the ship which severely damaged the ship in 1945.
Vermont was baptized in 1922 at the age of 12 in the Gilmore Creek not far from Altman, Texas where he and his family went to church. No trace of Altman Texas remains today.
Vermont never married.
