Joseph William Bailey Medford of Texarkana, departed this life October
15, 1984. Mr Medford was born 82 years ago at Gum Springs, (Lydia), Texas,
June 10, 1902. Graveside services were held at Warthan Cemetery with Reverend Sammy Shrum of Texarkana officiating. Survivors are two daughters, Jo Sue and Cynthia and two granddaughters, Becky and Kathy, of Texarkana; one grandson of Oklahoma City, four brothers and two sisters. a host of relatives and friends. Bailey was formerly of Avery, the eldest son of the late Mr and Mrs O N Medford. After serving a lengthy time with the US Navy he worked in Safeway Grocery in Texarkana until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Amanda Warthan, several years.
