Ellen was the daughter of the late Leo Edward and Ruby Derden Gentsch. She married John Hubbard Timmons, Jr. on July 24, 1946 in Midlothian, Texas; he preceded her in death on December 8, 2000. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Davidson, Okla. and a business woman.
