Obit:
Johnny Everitt McLelland, 100 formerly of Prescott, passed away, Tuesday, December 25, 2012 in Houston, Texas. Mr. McLelland was born June 22, 1912 in Nevada County to Robert and Julia Mae Stivers McLelland. He is a member of the Central Baptist Church in Prescott, a Mason and retired millwright with the Day & Zimmerman Construction Company. He is preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lizze Mack Beavert McLelland and his second wife, Ora Mae Galoupe McLelland, a son; Slaten Everett McLelland, three brothers; Kyle Bush McLelland, Leonard Arden "Jiggs" McLelland and Thomas Wayne McLelland, two sister; Media Pittman and Winnie Louise Blevins.
He is survived by his daughter; Fern McLelland Hubbard, husband, Russell of Houston, Texas, his sister; Mrs. Mary Ethel Harris of Prescott, Arkansas, seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, other family member and friends.
The McLelland Family will receive friends at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott from 9:00a.m. till 10:30a.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2013.
Funeral service in honor of Mr. McLelland will be 10:30a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Brazzel/Cornish The Funeral Home of Prescott. Rev. Jerry G. Westmoreland will officiate the service. Burial will follow in Chapelwood Cemetery in Nash, Texas.
