J. D. Holliman, 81, a retired farmer in the Oklaunion Community, died about 4 a.m. Tuesday in a local nursing home.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30p.m. Wednesday at Henderson-Fields Funeral Chapel with Rev. M.W. Reynolds, pastor of the Texas Street Methodist Church, Officiating. Burial will be in East View Memorial Park with Masonic graveside rites.
Mr. Holliman was born Nov. 30, 1891, in Milam county, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Holliman. He married Miss Nola Tyler Dec. 10, 1911,in Rockdale. They moved to Wilbarger county in 1917 from Milam County.
He was a member of the Texas Street Methodist Church and the Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are two sons Preston Holliman of Harold, and Alton Holliman of Ft. Worth; three daughters Mrs. J. B. Whiteley of Rockdale, Mrs. I. F. Kennedy of Dallas, and Mrs. W. R. Hunt of Vernon; a brother Elmer Holliman of Milam County; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

HOLLIMAN, Mrs. Nola (Douglas) of Vernon. Age 75. Died 7/02/1969, unexpectedly, while visiting her husband at a rest home. Services held (Thursday) in the Sullivan Funeral Chapel in Vernon. Burial in East View Memorial Park, Vernon. Rev. Wendell Leach officiated.

She was BORN Nola Tyler on 2/20/1894 to the late J.H. and Laura Dickey Tyler in Cameron. Married Douglas Holliman on 12/10/1911. Member of Forest Grove Christian Church.

SURVIVORS: Husband, Douglas Holliman; 2 sons, Preston Holliman of Oklaunion; Alton Holliman of Ft.Worth; 3 daughters, Mrs. Marie Whitely of Rockdale; Mrs. Waurine Kennedy of Dallas; Mrs. Audrey Hunt of Oklaunion; 3 sisters, Mrs. Vernon (Millie) Guthrie of Thorndale; Mrs. Susie Parker, Shreveport, LA.; Mrs. Willie Mae Climer, Austin; 4 brothers, Johnny Tyler, Rockdale, Roy Tyler, Austin, Pete Tyler, Kyle, Bouge Tyler, Moulton; 10 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.
