At this time we do not know the parents of Jennie Petty. What we know is she came with them to Texas from Mississippi and later married Marcus Mack Barnett [also buried at Altman Cemetery] and they had at least seven children that we know of:
1) Rufus H. Barnett - 1870
2) Luther Dolphus Barnett - 1871-1940
3) Carl B. Barnett - 1874
4) Clarence Howard Barnett - 1878-1930
5) Oscar Dulaney Barnett - 1880-1929
6) Minnie Barnett - 1882-1970
7) Ernest "Bud" Barnett - 1885-1965
