Passed away at Wilbarger General Hospital in Vernon, Texas on October 18, 1976 from pneumonia, bone marrow suppression secondary to chemotheraphy for metastatic Carcinoma of the Prostate.
Mr. Garner was a Pumper in the Oil Field Industry.
Preceded in death by son Joel Crawford Garner(born Jan 15, 1932 and died October 24, 1964).

Survivors include a daughter, Alice Joy Byrd of Vernon; a son, W.C. "Pete" of Ovalo, Texas; two sisters, Edith Jackson of Olney and Bert Farmer of Richmond, Va.; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
