Funeral services for Harlan Dale Cook, age 75 of Mount Vernon, were at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Harvey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Campbell officiating. Burial was in the Providence Cemetery.
Mr. Cook was born June 26, 1937 in Macon County, Mo., to Benjamin F. Cook and Ermie Massey. He was self-employed as a carpenter, plumber, painter, and was considered a "jack of all trades". He was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
He died Saturday, March 30. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Sandra.
He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Benny and Ann Cook of Mount Vernon, Kenny Cook of Pittsburg, and Billy Foster of Portland, Oreg.; a daughter, Beth Ann Cook of Portland, Oreg.; three sisters, Dorthy Cook Rockwell of Lee's Summit, Mo., Marie Cook Proper of Clarance, Mo., and Juanita Cook Clem of Pittsfield, Ill.; three grandsons, eight granddaughters, and five great-grandsons.
